After a long day, it’s not uncommon to look down at your outfit and notice some new stains that weren’t there before.   The trick to making your clothes sparkle again is not only treating the stains right away, but attacking them with the right tools.   While you might be tempted to go out and buy expensive products to save your clothes, the inexpensive and easy solution could be right in your own home already.   Here are some simple tricks for getting these types of stains out of your clothes:

  • Oily stains: Combine sugar and water to make a paste, and apply it to your stain for a few minutes before washing.
  • Ink: Try spraying hairspray on the stain, and after that dries, lightly rub the stain with a combined mixture of white vinegar and water.   Rinse with water when done.
  • Lipstick: Apply lemon juice and salt to the lipstick mark and place the garment in the sun to dry.
  • Wine and fruit juice: Create a paste of lemon juice and salt and apply to the stained areas.   Allow about a half hour for the mixture to penetrate the stain before rinsing out.

Hopefully these basic tips will not only save you money,

but they will save your clothes as well!
